Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a disorder that causes musculoskeletal pain throughout the body, exhaustion,
weakness, insomnia, memory loss, and mood changes. Sometimes people slowly develop these symptoms over time and other times they suddenly begin after a traumatic event, infection, or an event that causes extreme stress. It is believed that this disorder alters the way one’s brain signals what is and is not painful. Coping with this condition can be extremely difficult depending on the severity. There is no cure for fibromyalgia: however, physical therapy can greatly improve many of these symptoms.
